Seth Godin recently posted about the need to hire an architect for your organization. He writes “Architects don’t manufacture nails, assemble windows or chop down trees. Instead, they take existing components and assemble them in interesting and important ways.”

We’d like to take that concept and apply it to the content world – especially content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and other social and interactive platforms.

It is so easy in today’s instant world to create a content platform (Facebook, Twitter) in minutes and start producing and distributing content. This form of content marketing usually happens with little to no results.

To take Seth’s anology to our world, it’s easy (and fun!) to start using the nail gun and circular saw, but without a plan it’s going to look like a mess and produce zero results.

Every great organization needs an architect. We’d also ask – who’s your content architect and what does your blueprint look like?
